A SECRET SHARED
It was November 2014 when I decided to start this work that I’d had in mind for such a long time: a collaboration of many friends I shared musical moments with. So I decided to contact them and asked if they liked to be part of this ambitious project. Most of the recordings were made here at Jop Studio, and what’s fantastic is that this is also where I assembled the contributions sent to me by other artists recorded in some cases as faraway as the Preston (U.K.), Milano, Genova. Such is the advantage of modern day technology. I wanted to limit the use of synthesized instruments and I succeeded in that: almost every instrument is a real one. So, Secret share is a sort of musical friendship celebration and I am deeply honored that the passion these musicians have put into their own performances is tangible. To me, music is all about passion and I cannot imagine my life without it. She has always been beside me and never abandoned me. I hope the youngest generations may quickly understand that a life without a passion is like a car in constant emergency supply. This world needs passion to survive: there is no better weapon against bad intentions than passion for upright disciplines, whatever they are. Music has an advantage: multitasking. You can do a lot of things while listening to good music. Consider it.
